Healthtone 3D composition 2 2

Health Tone

Throughout the years of our research, we have successfully developed an essential oil-based composition which shows beneficial health properties such as broad anti-infective activity against bacteria and viruses. In addition, it also exerts immunomodulatory properties and has been proven to be non-toxic. We called this product Health Tone and it was recently approved by the Armenian Health authorities to serve as a supportive adjuvant in the therapy for patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. Health Tone is currently being evaluated as an adjuvant in clinical trials comprising COVID-19 patients in Indonesia.

Additional text

We have published data from our own research showing that Health Tone’s natural oil blend formulation combines potent anti-microbial with antioxidant properties. It enhances human neutrophil mediated phagocytosis, as well as promotes free radical scavenging, thereby exerting significant anti-oxidant activity. Health Tone is a mixture of essential oils isolated from Gardenia jasminoides, Commiphora myrrha, Boswellia serrata, Foeniculum vulgare, Daucus carota, as well as olive oil.

There are many reports available in the public domain describing the health benefits of these medicinal plants and below is an introductory overview with selected public information:

Gardenia jasminoides

Gardenia jasminoides is a medicinal herb containing flavonoids which have reported beneficial activity in inflammatory and various metabolic diseases, as well as anti-cancer properties. Bioactive components from Gardenia jasminoides possess antiviral activity against various pathogens such as Influenza A and Rotavirus.

Commiphora myrrha

Myrrh and its oil-based components have been widely used in multiple ways throughout history for example as analgesics with recent clinical reports supporting this application, but also for inflammatory indications. Most notably, it has been reported to have broad antimicrobial activity against bacteria, fungi and certain viruses. Recent discussions about Commiphora species also suggest a potential for relieving COVID-19 symptoms.

Boswellia Serrata

Essential oils from Boswellia species have multiple health benefits. They are known potent antimicrobials and have also been reported of being useful in controlling metabolic disorders as part of the metabolic syndrome. Clinical trials with Boswellia derived extracts were reported to be beneficial in the effective and safe supportive treatment for patients with inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis.

Foeniculum vulgare

This medicinal plant is widely known as fennel and traditionally used for curative phytotherapy. Some of the constituents derived from its essential oils such as bicyclic monoterpenes exert antidiarrheal and anti-fungal activities. Trans‑anethole is a major essential oil component of fennel with anti-inflammatory activity, which is being explored for gastrointestinal diseases, as well as in acute lung injury.

Daucus carota

Carrots belong to one of the most important vegetable classes and the most abundant ingredients are phenolic compounds, carotenoids, polyacetylenes, and ascorbic acid. These heterogenous components are thought to improve human health in specific ways due to their, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer and broad anti-microbial activities. Oil fractions from wild carrots were found to have a unique chemical composition exerting antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects.

Olive Oil

The so called “Mediterranean Diet” has been considered beneficial for human health and is believed to prevent age related degenerative diseases thereby extending human life. This view is supported by multiple clinical cohort studies showing that higher olive oil intake is associated with lower risk of cardiovascular disease, inflammatory diseases and cancer. Moreover, including olive oil in the regular diet may lessen the symptoms of COVID-19 due to the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of unsaturated fatty acids and polyphenols found in a diet rich in olive oil.

Rhea Health Tone has been registered in various Eurasian countries and in Indonesia for the use as a nutritional health supplement promoting well-being and as adjuvant for viral infections based on its broad antiviral and immunomodulating activities.

Health Tone & SARS-CoV-2

Various studies have found potential benefits for essential oils in the treatment COVID-19 and a natural support for the relief of symptoms in patients with mild infections. Rhea Health Tone was designed to function as a broad antiviral formulation and it is currently being evaluated for the use as a supplemental herbal medicinal product and adjuvant for COVID-19 supplementary therapy. We believe that the immunosuppressive and antiviral properties of the product will alleviate the symptoms of the infection and hence support faster patient recovery. To prove this, we have completed a clinical trial in the Erebuny Hospital, Yerevan, Armenia (April – June 2020) and are currently conducting another COVID-19 clinical trial in Indonesia. More details can be found in our brochure. Interestingly, the data obtained so far clearly demonstrate the value of Health Tone, as in addition to the expected effects on the disease severity, it became clear that even the number of infected health care personal dropped significantly in the group receiving Health Tone. This may indicate that regular intake of Health Tone may reduce the risk of being infected by SARS-CoV-2.
